Filtration is the process of separating suspended solid matter from a liquid, by causing the Water to pass through the pores of some substance, called a filter. The liquid which has passed through the filter is called the filtrate and matter left behind on given media called retentate.
Raw water (received from water bodies or any source) usually contains undesirable sediments, colour, algae (which can produce a taste and smell) and other harmful organisms. The Water Filtration Plant (WFP) is designed to remove this undesirable matter, and produce water fit and safe for industrial, drinking and other specific application.
SAF Engineers Water filtration units are state of art suitably designed systems incorporating various technologies / operating systems like Sand Media Filters, Activated Carbon Filter, Iron & other Heavy Metal Removal Filters etc. The feed stock may be borewell , openwell , river water, lake water or municipal supplies. The end use applications for the treated water may be process water, boiler feed, cooling tower, drinking or any other. The plants are offered manual, semiautomatic or fully automatic operation.
